At Madreperla.mx, we believe that sports are best enjoyed together. We want our website and comment sections to be a place where fans can debate the big game, analyze trades, and cheer for their teams in a fun, safe, and respectful environment.

To maintain this atmosphere, we have established these Community Guidelines. By engaging with our content, you agree to follow these rules.

1. The “Locker Room” Rules (What We Expect)

  • Be Respectful: We encourage passionate debate, but personal attacks are not allowed. Attack the argument, not the person.

  • Keep it Clean: Profanity, vulgarity, and obscenity will be removed. If you wouldn’t say it on a broadcast, don’t type it here.

  • Stay On Topic: Please keep your comments relevant to the article or the sport being discussed. Spamming off-topic links or gibberish disrupts the conversation for everyone.

2. Zero Tolerance Policy

We have a zero-tolerance policy for the following. Violating these rules will result in the immediate removal of your comments and a permanent ban from our site.

  • Hate Speech: Any content that attacks, threatens, or insults a person or group based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.

  • Threats of Violence: Any threat of physical harm towards writers, athletes, coaches, or other users.

  • Harassment & Trolling: Persistent bullying, stalking, or “trolling” intended to distress another user.

  • Doxxing: Publishing the private personal information (addresses, phone numbers) of any individual.

3. No Spam or Self-Promotion

Our comment section is for sports discussion, not for selling products.

  • Do not post links to external sites selling merchandise, betting services, or illegal streams.

  • Do not copy and paste the same message across multiple articles.

4. Moderation & Enforcement

  • Automated Filtering: We use automated tools to flag comments containing profanity or known spam links.

  • Human Review: Our editorial team reviews flagged comments. We reserve the right to remove any content for any reason at our sole discretion, even if it does not explicitly violate the rules above.

  • Banning: Repeat offenders will be blocked from posting.

5. Reporting Abuse

We cannot be everywhere at once. If you see a comment that violates these guidelines, please help us by reporting it.

  • Flag Button: Use the “Report” or “Flag” button next to the comment.

  • Email Us: For serious violations, email us at contact@madreperla.mx with the subject line “Community Violation Report” and a link to the comment in question.

6. A Note on Sports Betting

While we cover betting odds, our community is not a place to sell “picks” or harass athletes about lost bets. Comments complaining about “bad beats” or blaming players for financial losses will be removed.
